CRI Project Update/BSB Occupant's Meeting
January 3 BSB 120
  • Although numerous diagnostic tests have been performed and repairs made, the gas distribution system is still down. At least for now, all departments in BSB will have to consider an alternate source for their gas needs. Alcohol burners are available from the P-plant but propane torches have not yet arrived; they are due Monday.
  • The Piling Load Test results are in: positive results indicate a possible reduction of piling length-perhaps as much as 10 feet.
  • Weather delays have postponed much of the excavation work planned for this past week, but will continue next week.
  • Pharmacology's Mass Spec will be arriving Monday so access to loading dock will be necessary.
  • The compactor near the loading dock needs to be moved offsite but can be re-placed in a few days.
There is an asbestos pipe beneath the "B" electrical feed and within the footprint of the new building that must be removed.
  • A very brief electrical outage is required in order to transfer from power feed B to A. This outage will be Thursday, Jan 10 at 0600. It will not affect emergency power. Outage notification is required.
  • Attendees: Jack Buchanan Hal Currey Hank Harrison Leslie Kendall John Malmrose Mac McClinton Dean Mills Peggy Schachte Rick Terhune Boyd Wood
