CRI Project Update/BSB Occupants' Meeting

Restroom asbestos abatement is in progress now on the 5th floor and renovation will begin on May 6th on the 6th floor. Through the end of June these activities will be performed per the following schedule:

Utilities tunnel sheet piling is nearing completion and excavation is to start on May 6, 2002.

100 yards of foundation concrete was placed on Wednesday, May 1.

Jack Buchanan is initiating a weekly BSB elevator inspection program. Jack has assigned one person to check elevators weekly. Cliff Harvey reported that the elevators are working much better. Way to go, Jack!!!!!! Occupants can assist by reporting any problems they encounter with the elevators to 2-4119. Structural Steel Review A meeting was conducted on May 1,2002 with the steel fabricator, general contractor, architect, and structural engineers.

MRE A presentation to the Charleston BAR is planned for May 8, 2002 to review the progress drawings of the mechanical room expansion. These drawings were presented at the Occupants' Meeting.

Thefts on Construction site Tools and a calculator were stolen from the construction site last week. The calculator had some valuable information stored in it. Restoring the information to the calculator will be difficult for the Construction Project Manager. The return of the calculator would be greatly appreciated.
